(Maybe the release point is near the sea, and the company has limited fishing access downstream. Then it would work.)

The demand outlook for aquaculture on the whole is very good, though there may be an "oversupply" of some species (like the bangus - a diadromous fish like salmon). Carp culture is growing quite rapidly in the Philippines. Our taste hasn't taken to carp yet, but then neither was tilapia popular in the early 80s.Roehlanohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04018109135738021378noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-14858768.post-1130473829825962682005-10-28T12:30:00.000+08:002005-10-28T12:30:00.000+08:00Some years ago, I heard of a company in the United...Some years ago, I heard of a company in the United States Pacific Northwest that had a great aquaculture enterprise going around salmon. As you know salmon spawn in fresh water streams but feed and grow in the deep oceans before returning to the very rivulets they were born in. The company just set up their canning factory BESIDE the release point of spawn they prepped at nurseries. Are there similar opportunities here do you think?Deany Bocobohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01443168826029321831noreply@blogger.com
